LONG TAKE
This is a danger you see repeatedly. People get so used to hearing an economic term or phrase that the brain just processes the term without much pro-active thinking or challenging of the idea. The idea, then, seeps into the public discourse and gets handed off from generation to generation, accepted as an almost natural phenomena like the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. “Lower taxes”, “Less Regulation” and “let us praise small business” come to mind.
And the most important part of this slow absorption of an idea: it ends up hurting average people and mostly benefiting the wealthy.
